The matches of the World Cup 2014 in Brazil will be staged
in twelve venues, spread across twelve host cities. This is to be the second
time Brazil has hosted the competition, the first being the 1950 FIFA World
Cup.
Though some doubts about the completation of the stadiums
and infrastructure before 2014 World Cup, Still they are working hard to make
it happened. With the opening of the first World Cup stadium in Fortaleza and
Belo Horizonte, there are, however, ten more stadiums to complete.

Among them, Estadio Jornalista Mario Filho, better known as
the Maracana, Built for the 1950 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ is the most historic
venue there.
When the largest stadium on earth, packing throughout crowds
all the way to 200, 000 – one of many highest attendances ever observed in the
history of the game – the Maracana may have a diminished capacity of 76, 935
for Brazil 2014. The idea remains, however, the country’s biggest football
ground.
The Rio de Janeiro stadium will be in the limelight once
again at Brazil World Cup 2014, hosting eight games in all, more than any venue.
Among those matches there will be the most important the World Cup Final on 13
July.
